Samuel Blaser Trio
“More than just excellent” – Concerto Magazine
To witness Swiss-born, Berlin-based trombonist Samuel Blaser’s multi-national trio is to be in the presence of forward-thinking masters of extended technique, engaged and uncompromising free jazz, and ambient abstraction. A highly innovative free player, Blaser is “one of the most globally recognized performers on his instrument” (Berliner Zeitung). With Danish drummer Peter Bruun (Django Bates), and expressive French guitarist and longtime Tim Berne collaborator, Marc Ducret, Blaser creates chamber jazz compositions with all the adventure and unexpectedness of free improv.
